What I do:

I write. I try to work harder to understand a topic than anybody else would. I then try to distill that effort into an efficient, highly readable story that's both provocative and credible.

I edit. I've refined—sometimes wholly revamped—hundreds of articles. I care about helping the writer say what s/he wants to say, but I care more about the quality and credibility of the final result.

I photograph. I try to get the framing, exposure and focus right. I mostly shoot freestyle; none of the photos displayed on this site were shot with aid from imposed lighting or constructed sets. They've also been edited unintrusively, with realism in mind.
